About Isabella
I am an ESL teacher from the USA who has completed my MSc in Linguistics from The University of Edinburgh. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Modern Language Studies, where I studied both Japanese and Korean. I have previously lived in both Japan and South Korea. As someone who has a passion for learning new languages and has extensive experience in doing so both in the classroom and online, I understand the challenges that many students face when it comes to learning a new language, so I use my knowledge and experience to help my future students to find the same passion about learning English as I have about learning languages.

My goal as an ESL teacher is to use my knowledge as a second
language learner to provide the tools and environment that allow my students to thrive during their studies. Previous experience teaching and receiving second language lessons online and in-person has garnered me the skills to teach online or in-person, as well as the understanding of how to make learning successful for my students. I am happy teaching either children or adults, where I will use the approach of speaking from day one. I believe this is best achieved in an environment where mistakes are welcomed as learning opportunities.
