My approach is warm and patient with positive reinforcement; however, I truly believe in guiding an individual to unlock hidden potential and overcome mental barriers. I relish finding fun ways to retain knowledge. Whether it’s a memorable additional resource or engaging with the material in a novel way, I will endeavour to find what works for you. I’m comfortable tutoring all ages, up to and including undergraduate, but I have the most experience with primary (key stage 2+) and secondary school students. Lesson length, approach and goals are flexible. Typically students opt for 1 hour slots to maintain focus, but I’ve been known to do a 3 hour power session before! As an ECRM proofreader, brand intelligence strategist and advertising professional, I still use my English degree, from semantics to grammar and everything in between. Previous education includes A-level English Language and Literature (A grade) and an A* at GCSE. I also loved studying unique modules like Mohawk ejectives, computational linguistics and neurolinguistics in California (UC Santa Barbara).
