About Laura
I am a J/I French Teacher Candidate at the University of Toronto who has worked for three years as an assistant ESL teacher for a local summer camp. I have worked with students from around the world to develop their understanding of both verbal and written English skills. I am also TEFL certified through the University of Toronto where I learned how to effectively teach the English language while being advised by professionals.

My teaching methods are largely based on where the student finds comfort. Coming out of your shell to learn a new language is a brave act, so I choose to work at a pace that is comfortable for the student without making the process seem rushed or daunting. Because of this, my teaching methods are student-based. I listen to what the student feels most confident doing and base my lesson around how to bring forward their skills rather than overwhelming them with newer and difficult information.
