About Andi
Hello, my name is Andi! I am a literacy intervention paraeducator. I have been a paraeducator at a Title 1 elementary school for almost four years. I love working with students and have a passion for teaching - especially with those reading at below grade level. I have experience teaching beginning phonics and improving fluency and comprehension. I hold a Bachelor's in Speech and Hearing Sciences and am currently pursuing an Elementary Educator's License.

First and foremost, I believe all students can learn to read. I believe in patience, flexibility, and adapting to what a student needs.
I have experience teaching early phonics using 95 Percent Group's 95 PAIR intervention. This intervention focuses on phonemic awareness. Additionally, I have experience using the Wilson Reading System (WRS). WRS starts at basic syllables, moving to digraphs, taking the student all the way to multisyllabic words and prefixes and suffixes. WRS is beneficial for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities.
I am open to tutoring all ages!
