About Mengzhu
Hi, there! oi gente! I'm Dai Mengzhu or you can call me Lydia. I'm a native speaker with a deep passion for linguistics and cross-cultural communication. I graduated from Xi'an International University, where I majored in Portuguese Language and Literature and minored in Chinese Literature.
Living at the intersection of these two beautiful languages has given me a unique perspective on how to teach Mandarin effectively to western learners.

Most people try to learn Chinese by memorizing lists, but they get frustrated because Chinese logic is different from English or Portuguese.
My approach is different because I am also a language student. I spent years figuring out how to translate Chinese thoughts into Western structures.
In our session, I won't give you a list of characters. Because of my literature background, I will show you the 'why' behind the words. We will use the same 'vibe coding' techniques I used to master other languages to help you understand Chinese internet slang, cultural nuances, and professional communication.
I've done the hard work of building a bridge between these two worlds, now, I'm here to help you cross it.
