About Guy
My name is Guy, and I am a first-year Law student at the University of Southampton. I have experience helping students with A-Level and GCSE Maths at both Higher and Foundation level.
I’ve always enjoyed explaining things and helping others understand topics that once felt confusing to me as well. I understand how frustrating it can be to feel lost in a subject, so I focus on creating a relaxed environment where students can ask questions freely and build confidence step by step.

My tutoring focuses on helping students feel confident with the fundamentals so that more advanced topics feel less intimidating. I understand how challenging subjects can feel because I was in the same position only a few years ago, and I aim to teach in an engaging way so students leave lessons feeling that the topic has genuinely “clicked”.
Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student, combining clear explanation, guided practice and exam-focused techniques. For essay-based subjects, I focus on structure and clear reasoning; for Maths, I focus on building understanding and confidence so students feel comfortable tackling questions on their own.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, including explanation, practice, and feedback.
I am currently studying for an LLB Law degree and have recent experience with GCSE, A-Level, and first-year university assessments, allowing me to provide practical and relatable academic support.
