About Alan
I'm passionate about effective learning. That’s why I’m committed to putting practical, efficient systems in place to help you overcome your specific challenges.
I was born in New York and raised in the United States, hence English is my native language, and it was at a New York university that my exceptional language skills were tested and grown.
I'm currently studying LLCER Anglais. I therefore have an fine academic grasp of all aspects of the English language—which I know exactly how to put in service of hands-on teaching.
Thanks to my extensive training, my experience as a language tutor, and my own journey learning several languages, I have a deep understanding from the inside of the kinds of difficulties language learners face and how much those difficulties can hold you back. I also know how to address them; knowledge I'd be glad to share.
To give an example, my phonetic skills are particularly extensive, and with my native, neutral, and modern American accent, I can give you targeted guidance to help you understand and imitate the English you will encounter most often. Likewise for grammar, vocabulary, writing, and text analysis—even of literary texts.
