About Lukas Benjamin
I am a graduate student of International Relations at the London School of Economics, a trained linguist and a former Teaching Assistant for Modern Foreign Languages at the City of London School for Boys with six years of experience teaching students at all ages and levels of competence. I am a native speaker of German, and speak English, Russian, French and Spanish. I am highly familiar with every step of the language acquisition process from personal experience.

I aim to create an in-class atmosphere in which students can begin to speak their target language as quickly as possible, without any apprehension or fear of making mistakes. Although I am able and formally trained to give detailed technical explanations of grammar, the main focus of my classes would be to make you feel comfortable speaking your target language, irrespective of your level of knowledge, and to prepare you for using a newly acquired language in real world settings.

I prefer to give 1.0h-1.5h classes in order to be able to give students a full, immersive learning experience.
I am happy to work around your schedule. In order to observe social distancing requirements, I offer lessons online, using Skype or Zoom video call and screen sharing software.
