About Claudia
Hi there! I am a 22 old masters student at UCL, studying Anthropology. I did Archaeology and Anthropology for my undergraduate degree, also at UCL, where I achieved a first. I went to secondary school at Francis Holland SW1. I have tutored my younger brother throughout the entirety of his primary school career up until his 13+, before he was accepted into Eaton. I have further experience tutoring and providing homework help, as I have worked as a nanny for two girls. I also help to write personal statements and assist in university applications for Re:focus, an ADHD coaching company. I am a keen Classicist, as well as a confident teacher in Philosophy and Ethics, English and Sociology. All of these subjects help to inform and shape the anthropological discipline. I am extremely friendly, reliable and organised individual, with a serious work ethic and passion for learning. I was diagnosed with dyspraxia when I was 8, and have overcome the challenges this threw at me with great confidence and determination. For this reason, I am particularly passionate about tutoring children with learning difficulties as I have found excellent solutions and strategies and developed skills to successfully overcome any issues these may bring forth.

I teach all levels from primary school to end of secondary school, and can aprovide anthropological and archaeological training to undergraduate university students. My lessons are all about fun and building confidence; developing the necessary skills to be able to successfully learn, comprehend and understand the subjects and concepts the student may be struggling with. I have grown up with dyspraxia and ADD and along this journey have picked up vital skills in revision, essay writing, note taking and organisation, which have served me extremely well and allowed me to achieve a first class honours degree at UCL.
One of the most important strategies for me is not over-complicating things, it is stripping the idea at hand right down to its foundations, where it can be picked apart and examined in a more simple and cohesive way. Then, it can be understood and slowly built up as we put the pieces back together. Furthermore, it is important to keep your thoughts organised and clear, which means developing ways that are tailored to the individual to process information in a smoother and more concise manner.
