I recently graduated highschool with honors and am now a student at King's College London. Being fresh out of highschool, I remeber perfectly how stressful the ongoing tests and dreaded examinations can be. It's important to understand that a student who enjoys himself is a student that makes progress faster. This is why I try to customise my methods to the person I'm tutoring. I like to put in place dynamic classes that keep the student engaged and focused on the subject. By experience, I know that visual aid works best, so I tend to work with color codes, mind maps and drafts. Also, I engage in a dialogue with the mentoree to understand what method will work best. I use their personal interests (teh news, films or extra curricular activities) to make them interested in the topic at hand and motivate them to study.
