About Sonal
I have tutored my university level peers, explaining modules I was learning at the time. I find that I am very effective in explaining to others and find ways to make concepts relatable to each student. I am passionate about tutoring because throughout my education I struggled with learning only in the classroom. Tutoring gave me the extra ability to gain high grades. I also believe that confidence makes a large difference in performance and so I encourage my students to be confident with their workings and the results are almost instant.

I've always had a passion for maths and took up the role of being a maths prefect throughout my maths A-Level. I study International Business Management at university and help my friends with our modules. I am very patient and able to explain concepts in multiple ways. I am very enthusiastic about learning as well and have first hand experience in how technology can support learning. For younger students, learning online can be the helpful aid away from the classroom and for older students, there are many benefits. My lessons can be personalised towards students depending on what they want to get out of it. Once I have had a lesson with a student, I am able to understand their needs better. Within each lesson however I will explain a topic and then practice questions with the student. Once the student feels confident enough to answer questions alone, I will recommend further websites or books in which questions should be attempted from. Then any further questions the student has will be answered. The structuring of the lesson can also be changed to suit the student as I find tailoring my lessons to individuals works best. As someone who has seen the benefits of tuition and has seen multiple methods of teaching I feel confident that my lessons will be extremely beneficial for whoever I teach.
