About Riko
University of Sussex student. I was playing an alto saxophone in the wind orchestra band at school (we also did marching music) for 5 years in Japan, and been progressed onto the national-level competitions multiple times. I was also teaching juniors at school how to play, which I really enjoyed. A music lover and saxophone lover. Please feel free to ask any questions and I’ll try to answer as clear as possible. I’m flexible in terms of how I teach and I’ll make it tailored to each person. I adapt to my student’s level and preferences - from beginner to already-experienced. I have an alto saxophone if my student wants to use it during the lesson. I’d prefer to have a chat with my student to listen to what they wanna achieve and how they like to be taught. Music is a fun tool of communication - I try to teach in a way that is joyful and effective at the same time.
