About Ziad
I am biomedical engineering graduate from Carleton University with over 3 years of experience tutoring and teaching Mathematics!
I have taught students from middle school, high school, and served as a teaching assistant (TA) at Carleton University where I was nominated twice for TA of the year award!

My teaching methodology and approach to a lesson plan:
- I understand the course outline provided to the student to identify the core topics and principles to tackle.
- From there, I devise a study plan that covers the outline's topics.
- Once I identify from my introductory session with my student where their weaknesses lie, I tailor a study plan to their needs and provide them with an outline of that plan so that they are made aware of how I intend to conduct our tutoring sessions.
What sets me apart:
- Teaching is about ensuring that the student has grasped the concepts being taught, not re-stating points and points without the student retaining any form of knowledge. I listen and adapt to different types of students to suit their needs. As a student that has once struggled and fell short at times, I devised ways to tutor myself to ensure I absorbed knowledge.
I won't open the door and walk the student through it. Rather, I'll teach them how to open it so they walk through themselves.
Who are my lessons for?
- The majority of my experience is with high school and university level students and have worked with middle and elementary school students in the past. However, I will be offering high school and university level courses.
