About Tristan
Who Am I? I'm Tristan, and my path to becoming a tutor has been shaped by my own educational journey. I know what it feels like to face academic hurdles, to struggle with complex subjects, and to need guidance and support. My experiences as a student have given me a unique perspective, enabling me to connect with and understand the struggles that students often encounter. My direct focus on relevant material from the specification allows me to make sure students narrow-in on important information, and do not get held-up on unnecessary details which are often found on teachers' presentations in class. Why I Teach?: The driving force behind my choice to become a tutor is the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students facing similar challenges. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to excel and thrive, given the right guidance and support. My journey has equipped me with the empathy and insight needed to connect with students on a personal level, helping them not only academically but also in boosting their self-confidence. Empathy and Understanding: I teach because I want to be the mentor I wished I had during my academic journey. I understand the frustration of struggling with a subject, the feeling of being overwhelmed, and the need for someone who believes in your potential. As a tutor, I offer not just educational guidance, but also emotional support, believing in the abilities of my students and helping them realise their full potential.
