Technique forms the foundation, emphasizing breath control, posture, vocal placement, and healthy sound production to create a sustainable voice. I work with students to develop a mindful practice routine that promotes vocal longevity and flexibility. Emotional connection is equally vital; I encourage students to delve into the meaning of lyrics, storytelling, and performance to cultivate genuine expression.
This connection transforms singing from mere notes into a heartfelt experience. Cultural awareness enriches the learning journey by fostering respect for the diverse origins and significance of the music we explore. Students are guided to engage thoughtfully with different genres and traditions, choosing repertoire that honors their personal and cultural identity.
