About Jing Yu (Joey)
I'm an undergrad medical student in UCD and did Chinese language in school for 13 years. I was born into a Chinese family where mandarin was spoken in the family. I really hope to be able to share the language and the culture with people who are interested in it.

Learning a language is about using it. I'll teach based on what the student wants and prefers. Not everyone wants to know how to write and read Chinese, some only wants to be able to converse in mandarin so my teaching will be based on each student's preference. Normally, I would teach the basics of conversing in mandarin and how to write in Chinese as there're many strokes and steps in it. Then we can proceed to higher levels based on needs and interests.
