About Yixin
I am a passionate teacher who uses a lot of visual aids for language learning. I am lively and fun, children always find me funny and passionate. Apart from the fun part, I always make the pupils aware of my expectations and boundaries. In my spare time, I really like drawing, that’s normally a great icebreaker for me and my pupils. I am also a guest speaker at UCL Chinese conference 2022 about Story Telling.

I am a qualified Mandarin Chinese teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, specialising in GCSE, A Level, YCT, and HSK exams. My background includes teaching in a renowned Chinese and English bilingual primary school, followed by my current role leading the Mandarin Excellence Programme at a well-established secondary school. This diverse experience has equipped me with expertise in both primary and secondary education settings. My qualifications include a PGCE from UCL and a Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Nottingham. This blend of academic knowledge and practical experience enables me to offer student-centred lessons tailored to individual needs. I am available for lessons after school and on weekends, providing flexibility to accommodate students' schedules.
