About Maria
From 2014 to 2018, I have taught Chinese language to exchange students from north Ireland, designed textbook by myself in order to suit the study needs of each patch of exchange students who were just beginners of Chinese language but needed to master communication, reading and writing very quickly for their internship in Chinese primary schools. Efficiently taught the students Chinese phonetic alphabet, written language, calligraphy, poems, songs, paper-cutting, Chinese chess and so on, successfully aroused the students strong interest and confidence in learning Chinese language and culture.

My teaching methodologies are as follows. Firstly, arouse students learning interest and sense of achievement. For example, when teaching Pinyin, I show them cartoon videos. After learning that, I taught them Tang Dynasty poems and popular Chinese songs. Secondly, learn by doing. When teaching communication, I create all kinds of scenarios for them to practice. And when teaching Chinese characters, I teach them Chinese chess and how to order food with the app of Chinese Uber eats. Thirdly, learn with games. I also teach my students Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, and food making so that they can enjoy engaging in Chinese culture.
