About Tiwha
Kia Ora, I am Tiwha Taite. I am 22 years old, I have created a life for myself and my son. I have grown up with learning Te Reo Maori, I lived and breathed it since I was a little girl. Hearing stories of my elders getting punished for speaking our native language made me feel upset. Made me feel remorse. I felt like I need to uphold it for our ancestors and people.
