About Kevin
My time in the US Marines as an infantry assault-man (0351) and team leader was my first introduction to teaching in an effective manner. The job itself lead to my interest in chemistry which brought me to the University of North Georgia to earn my B.S. in Chemistry. Immediately I was hired as a process chemist to help to improve the industrial applications of flame retardant polymers on work wear. Currently I am an Environmental Chemist working to improve the industrial process waste treatment systems for factories across the southeastern United States.

My teaching approach is to start with the ‘what’ and then address the ‘why’ and then finally the ‘how.’ I firmly believe that to learn means to understand and that to understand, a person has to know why something is done and why it is done in that particular way.
