About Zari

Hi! I'm Zari! I am a Freshman at FIT majoring in Advertising and Marketing and minoring in English. I've always had a passion for creativity and storytelling, particularly through writing, fashion, and music.

However, English wasn't always a subject that came naturally to me. When I was younger, I often struggled with certain aspects of reading and writing, and it took time, patience, and practice to build the skills and confidence I have today. Eventually, English became one of my favorite subjects, and I went on to receive a 5 on both the AP English Literature and AP English Language exams!

Because of my own experiences, I understand how frustrating and intimidating it can be to struggle with a subject. I believe that every student learns differently, and sometimes all it takes is a different approach, a little extra patience, and someone who believes in their abilities.

Outside of academics, I have experience working with children as a summer camp counselor, as well as children with developmental disabilities. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, communication, and adapting to different personalities and needs.

I've always loved learning, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with my students! Above all, I want to create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in themselves.

I am passionate about helping students build their confidence and strengthen their English skills. I offer personalized support with homework, test preparation, reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, and more!

Depending on each student's individual needs, I prepare lessons with worksheets, short activities, and practice exercises to help build a strong understanding of the concepts they're learning. From there, we can dive deeper into their schoolwork and focus on areas where they may need additional support.

I understand that English can be an incredibly daunting subject for some students, which is why I emphasize patience and flexibility. I work with both students and parents to understand which learning styles and teaching methods work best, allowing me to create a comfortable, encouraging, and productive learning environment.

Above all, I am patient, kind, and genuinely eager to help students become more confident in their abilities! I offer in person, online, and hybrid sessions.
