About Sophie
*I am unavailable at the moment but please get in touch anyway to discuss potential future options* I am an Early Years teacher who graduated with a first class degree and I have also completed a Masters in Education for which I received a distinction (same level as a first). I have a passion for learning and a passion for helping others learn. I have worked in numerous schools teaching and assisting in lessons. I was also part of a homework club for children aged 4 to 12 whilst studying at Durham. This was very enjoyable and rewarding. I myself had a maths tutor throughout primary school and it really helped me develop my confidence. Equally, it provided me with valuable tools for learning independently which is important for working at home and at school. I could therefore, pass on these skills to any student I teach. I hope you will consider me as a tutor!

My teaching method is based on individualised learning experiences so that the pupil is engaged and interested in the topic. Equally, I use different kinds of teaching resources such as images or presentations, as well as auditory resources so that the learner is receiving a multi-sensory experience.
