My overall approach as a tutor is creating an engaging, comfortable, respectful, and vibrant learning environment. As a professional language teacher I believe the communicative approach for ESL students is meaningful and effective. I build my lessons using Sheltered Instruction (SIOP). This includes: Lesson Preparation, Background Knowledge, Comprehensible Input, Strategies, Practice/Application and Review/Assessment.
