About Nemiah
About Me:
I am a passionate and experienced high school student with a strong background in English, math, and biology, having taken college-level courses in each subject. My experience ranges from tutoring middle school and high school students to teaching non-native speakers, including working with Ukrainian students through ENgin. I am committed to helping students not only improve their academic skills but also gain confidence in their learning abilities. My approach focuses on making lessons engaging and tailored to each student’s unique needs, ensuring that they leave each session with a deeper understanding and a greater sense of accomplishment.

About My Lessons:
As a tutor, I prioritize a student-centered approach, tailoring lessons to fit each learner’s pace, interests, and areas of difficulty. I incorporate active learning techniques, such as discussions, problem-solving activities, and personalized feedback, to help students retain and apply their knowledge effectively.
Each lesson begins with a quick review of previous topics to reinforce learning. I then introduce new material, breaking it down into manageable sections. We’ll work through practice problems or exercises together, with plenty of opportunities for questions and clarification. Finally, I wrap up with a brief summary and assign optional tasks or reading to keep the momentum going between lessons.
I combine my strong background in English with my experience in teaching diverse age groups. My approach is not just about completing assignments; it's about fostering a deeper understanding of the subject and boosting students' confidence in their abilities. I’ve taught students from different backgrounds, including non-native English speakers, which has given me the skills to adapt to a wide range of learning needs.
