About Brighton
I'm passionate about teaching because people always perform better when they have a thorough understanding of what they're doing. Last year, I graduated from the University of Oregon with my M.S. in Chemistry, and I currently work at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an operations engineer. Although my job does not involve chemistry, I am always eager and curious to learn more about STEM. After completing a College Reading & Tutoring Association (CRLA) training course on the responsibilities of a tutor, I have applied these skills to create a meaningful experience in each session.

I have been a general and organic chemistry tutor for 3 years. My goals are to enhance students' confidence in their academic abilities and improve their overall class grade. I am a patient, encouraging tutor and do my best to cater to an individual's needs. I focus on refining a student's strengths and building upon their weaknesses. Most of my sessions are spent walking through homework. For exams/quizzes, I dedicate sessions to covering study guides and extra practice problems.
