About Shelby
I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Southern California (USC). My BA was in Health and Human Sciences and my MS was in Healthcare Decision Analysis. I have always loved school and am committed to a lifetime of learning!
I am also a professional within the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in Health Care Provider Education. This means I am constantly developing content for HCPs to teach and inform their peers. With that being said, I have a professional understanding of "principles of adult learning" and other learning methods and teaching styles.

Shelby is an outgoing, relatable, enthusiastic tutor for middle-high school aged students that may have various levels of understanding.
Shelby breaks down each problem, step by step, in order to allow students to not only get to a final answer, but confidently understand HOW and WHY we got there!
Shelby consistently checks in with students to ensure they are following, and if there is a question it is addressed. Shelby is adaptable, so by checking in with students she is able to determine the pace for solving problems.
Sometimes the best way to learn is to teach others, so once we have mastered a problem, I encourage students to turn it around and become the "teacher," explaining to me the solution to the problem.
