About Jacob
Maths has always been a passion to me, and whilst perplexing at times, I have genuinely enjoyed studying it at all levels. My goal is to help you experience that same sense of enjoyment and achievement. I believe that when you truly understand a concept, learning becomes more engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding. As a tutor, I want to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, to gain deeper insight. You deserve to gain a strong grasp of maths.

My tutoring approach revolves mainly around your needs and desires as a student. Over the past five years, I've worked with eight students, each with differing goals. From topic specific revision before exam season, to more structured learning programmes. Tutoring is personalised, and it is whatever you want it to be. I prioritise developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts rather than relying solely on repetitive practice. Together, we will explore not just what mathematical concepts are but also why and how they work. For example, rather than simply memorising a formula, we will derive it together to understand its origins and applications. My Qualifications: BSc Mathematics - First MSc Mathematics - Merit I have experience of working with students of all ages and abilities. From 11 years old working towards their SATs to 18 year olds tackling A-Level maths exams I also successfully support students I've worked with have different learning difficulties, ADHD, Autism and anxiety. I adapt my tutoring approaches to suit different learning styles.
