About Reva
I’m a Maths tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Master’s in Mathematics (MMath). My passion goes beyond numbers—I’m deeply fascinated by the history of mathematics and the evolution of mathematical thought. I believe that understanding where ideas come from can bring a whole new appreciation to solving problems. In my sessions, I often take students on a journey through time. We explore the brilliant minds of ancient civilisations—like the Babylonians, Greeks, Indians, and Arabs—who laid the foundation of modern math. From Pythagoras’ triangles to Euler’s elegant formulas, I love uncovering the stories behind famous theorems. I help students see that math isn’t just rules and calculations—it’s a human story of discovery, challenge, and creativity. We talk about the struggles and breakthroughs that shaped ideas we use today. This approach adds depth and meaning to every topic, whether it’s algebra, geometry, or calculus. I encourage students to think of mathematics as a rich tapestry of ideas, shaped by cultures and thinkers across centuries.
