About Geri
After 30 years of teaching and studying music, I still enjoy it. I've been teaching in many countries around the world but I now live in Nebraska, USA. My experience ranges from three-year-olds to adults. It is exciting to be able to share music with new students.

I began teaching as a Suzuki piano and violin teacher. However, my lessons include musicianship, note reading.
1. A short discussion of where you are--beginning, intermediate, advanced.
2. If you have some experience, how long ago was that? What kinds of music did you play? Once we know that, we can begin
Beginning:
The geography of the piano and learning the key letters. Young students can learn 3-5 keys. Then we'll learn a short piece by rote. Next lessons will introduce the treble clef, the notes on the page, and so on.
Intermediate/Advanced
We would decide together if there is some music you could play to demonstrate your level and where you need to start. We will also establish what kind of music you would most like to play.
