My Approach to Teaching Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing
As a bug bounty hunter and elite penetration tester, I provide hands-on, results-driven training focused on real-world offensive security. My goal is to bridge the gap between theory and practice, helping students master skills that matter in the field.
Teaching Methodology & Techniques:
I follow an applied, lab-based teaching style. Lessons are highly practical, using real vulnerabilities, simulated labs, and real-world bug bounty reports. Students learn by doing — scanning, exploiting, writing reports, and understanding how modern attack surfaces (web, APIs, mobile, cloud) are broken down in the wild. Tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, ffuf, and custom scripts are covered alongside manual techniques. I emphasize methodology: recon, enumeration, exploitation, post-exploitation, and reporting.
Typical Lesson Plan Includes:
1. Brief theory (10–15 min) – Overview of the topic (e.g., IDOR, SSRF, RCE)
2. Live demonstration (15–20 min) – Walkthrough on a live or lab environment
3. Student hands-on (30+ min) – Guided exploitation, recon, or reporting
4. Debrief + Q&A (10 min) – Real-world examples, bug bounty tips, and next steps
5. Homework – Practice labs, write-ups, or a challenge to reinforce the topic
