I am a professional photography teacher, running photography courses across Sussex, in the adult sector. Due to the changes in all our lives I have now redesigned my courses and tuition for online provision. Classes are taught via a variety of platforms, Google Hangouts, Google Meet and Zoom, for whichever suits the student. Classes include demonstrations of photo editing, with the added bonus over YouTube that we can edit your images, rather than watch someone edit their own! My courses also come with a range of online resources, handouts and cheat sheets. I am also providing photography lessons online, designed to get you all creative while on lockdown and learn photography in a fun but structured way. So whether it's a single lesson to solve an issue, or you want to undertake a series of lessons, I am offering a really fun and creative way of learning online. Hope to hear from you. I tailor my teaching to the needs of individual students, with clear explanation and demonstration with little use of jargon. I am keen to inspire students as to what they can achieve while giving clear advice on how to do it. Specific lessons are tailored to student interests, which I find is the best way to teach techniques, so whether your interest is portrait, landscape, street, still life or studio photography, I will teach you the means to achieve these aims. I also teach editing skills and printing techniques, enabling students to take their best images from camera all the way to a successful fine art print.

Perfect! I asked Toby to help me use Photoshop to get my photographs ready for print as I struggled to get the desired results. He was very clear and patient and showed me step-by-step how to prepare my images for printing. And I learned a few extra Photoshop tips in the process. I have returned to Tobias' photography courses several times now. I was a complete beginner but now through a structured approach I feel confident handling my camera and its' various functions. Tobias sets themes over the courses which pushes us to focus on different styles of photography as well as referring us to contemporary photographers to illustrate different genres. I really enjoy the classes and wouldn't hesitate to thoroughly recommend him!
I have known Toby for a few years now and had the pleasure in attending several of his photographic walkabout experience. Toby has also assisted me with some of my college work when I was struggling to understand certain concept. He has a great relaxed style, very personable, with a huge amount of knowledge and experience he is always willing to share. I could not recommend him highly enough.
