About Willa
My teaching methodology is centred around creativity, cultural sensitivity, and motivation, creating a personalised and inspiring learning environment for each student. For piano lessons, I focus on building strong technical foundations while encouraging artistic expression. I incorporate classical techniques alongside modern and contemporary styles, fostering creativity through improvisation, composition, and interpretation. Each lesson is designed to not only improve technical skills but also to inspire students to explore their musical interests. I emphasise cultural sensitivity by introducing students to a diverse range of musical genres from around the world, ensuring a well-rounded musical education. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student's learning pace and preferences, making sure they feel motivated and confident in their progress. My goal is to create an inclusive space where students can explore both the technical and emotional aspects of music. In addition to piano, I also offer lessons in music theory, composition, and music history, using an integrative approach to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of music as a whole. Every lesson is crafted to inspire, challenge, and support students on their musical journey.
