About Matthew
I am a Master of Primary Teaching student with classroom experience. I have taught students with a wide range of learning needs, including high ability students and those requiring additional support, and have worked closely with learners with autism. I also support older students with exam preparation and building engagement in complex thinking across literacy, history, and philosophy. I connect learning goals to what students value most, helping them grow with purpose and confidence.

I offer engaging English lessons for primary students and exam and study support for older learners. Lessons are typically one hour. For younger students, instruction is broken into short segments of no more than ten minutes and includes frequent modelling and support. I am currently completing a Master of Primary Teaching and have experience supporting students, particularly in Grades 2, 3 and 4, including those from diverse language backgrounds. I use SMART goals and Growth Mindset principles to build confidence, skills and lasting progress. It is never "I can't". It is "I can't do it yet."
