About Souraya

Hi, I’m Souraya — a passionate communicator, educator, and lifelong learner who believes language is one of the most powerful tools we have. With years of experience in writing, public speaking, and mentoring, I help both native English speakers and English learners gain clarity, confidence, and polish in how they express themselves. My lessons are structured but approachable. I focus on strengthening grammar, spelling, writing, and conversational skills through practical, engaging exercises that fit real-life goals. For some, that means writing better essays or professional emails. For others, it’s improving pronunciation, expanding vocabulary, or speaking more naturally in any setting. What sets me apart is my ability to meet each student where they are — whether you’re brushing up on grammar you never quite mastered in school or learning English for the first time. My goal is simple: to make you feel confident, capable, and clear every time you communicate.

My Approach as a Tutor

Teaching, to me, is about connection, confidence, and clarity. Whether I’m helping a teen master grammar or guiding an adult to express themselves more fluently, I focus on creating a supportive space where learning feels natural, not intimidating.

Teaching Method & Techniques

I use a blended teaching style that adapts to the student’s learning preferences — visual, auditory, reading/writing, or kinesthetic. My lessons often include:

Real-world examples and conversational practice

Mini writing or speaking exercises

Games or storytelling for engagement

Quick reviews to reinforce understanding

Personalized feedback that builds confidence and accountability

I believe in teaching English as a living language — not just a set of rules. That means lots of interaction, relatable topics, and an emphasis on practical usage over perfection.

Typical Lesson Plan

Warm-Up: A quick chat or short exercise to ease into the lesson.

Focus Skill: Introduce or review a topic (e.g., grammar rule, essay structure, pronunciation, or vocabulary theme).

Practice Activity: Interactive drills, writing prompts, or role-playing conversations.

Feedback & Correction: Gentle correction, discussion of common errors, and tips to improve.

Wrap-Up & Homework: A brief recap and optional take-home activity to reinforce what we covered.

What Sets Me Apart

I don’t just teach English — I help students use it with confidence. My background in communication, writing, and professional development allows me to connect lessons to real-life goals like public speaking, job interviews, academic writing, or everyday conversation. I bring patience, humor, and a genuine interest in my students’ growth to every session.

Who My Lessons Are For

My lessons are designed for teens and adults who want to improve their English speaking, writing, grammar, and overall communication skills. Whether you’re a student preparing for exams, a professional looking to refine your communication style, or simply someone who wants to feel more confident using English, I’ll meet you right where you are and guide you forward at your pace.
