About Ernest
I am a regular person striving for constant learning and improvement and enjoy the process while I am at it. Is the process easy? Of course not. But without difficulties, improvements are barely made. In my time outside of school and work, I like to play badminton - a sport that trains our physical body to the maximum, competitive video games to sharpen my reflexes and quick communication skills. Right now I am learning how to play a guitar and compose music in my free time. Trying to enjoy it more as time goes on!

My teaching method and techniques focus on a systemic approach and popular techniques like active learning and ultra learning. I like to keep sessions interactive - explain back concepts, connect with familiar things, and build a clear learning pattern. My first session would always be to get to know the students with their learning abilities, school paces, and hobbies to help me best form the best teaching environment around them. Later on, it could be anything from guided practice, goal-oriented practice, or teaching core concepts. I don't intend to just teach a subject - I intend to teach a system of learning. I hope for all my students to leave with their own systems that could benefit them even without me present. I like to adapt my approach with each student's strengths - whether it is visual, verbal, or all combined. I teach not just for grades, but for confidence and discipline, hoping the students to be independent learners. As a tutor, I am also learning. I love to learn "how to learn". I think learning should be not only active but enjoyable. I would like to do the same for students and their growth is my best reward. My lessons are for anyone who wants to learn coding in Python and JavaScript, high school to university Mathematics (Precalculus, Calculus, Discrete Math, and Linear Algebra).

Ernest is a very talented and dedicated teacher. He will customize each student's study methods and teach students the skills not only to succeed in the class but also to succeed in learning. He always comes into each session prepared and truly cares about each of his students. Cannot recommend enough.
Ernest is a great tutor with a lot of patience. He has helped me understand concepts in Calculus when we were students together a few years back!
