About Alex
I am a completing my final semester of a Master of Teaching (Secondary). Outside of study I am a relief teacher at a highschool in Tasmania. On Saturdays I help run a small book club and I also volunteer with The Smith Family as a learning club facilitator for an after school education club.

My pedagogy aligns with student centred learning, I maintain that the student's voice should be at the centre of my teaching. My approach to lesson structure is based on "I do, we do, you do". I will sometimes utilise mini demonstrative lectures combined with examples of what the intended learning outcome looks like and how My student(s) will know they are successful. I finish lessons off with a reflection around what has been studied and how it went for all those involved (including myself).
