Boost your confidence while mastering the art of recreating and transforming previously loved clothing into fresh, unique creations.
My upcycle sewing lessons are designed for individuals of all skill levels, from beginners with no prior experience to intermediate sewers looking to build their upcycling techniques. Classes are open to ages 8+ and the curriculum is adaptable based on individual goals and interests.
What Sets Me Apart:
As an upcycle designer and a graduate in costume design for film and TV, I bring 20 years of hands-on experience to the table. My teaching vibe is all about creativity—learn techniques and ignite a true passion for sewing. I'm all about a supportive and inclusive space where each student explores their individual sewing style.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Introduction and Overview: Discuss goals and assess skill levels.
Fundamentals: Cover equipment set up and essential sewing techniques. Hands-on Practice: Engage in a guided sewing project to apply learned skills.

Katherine is great (she’s SEW cool!): she walks you through her own process and planning in a very thorough and easy to follow way, making for a very positive learning experience.
