About Samantha
I am an elementary special education teacher. I have also taught 1st grade and 2nd grade. I work with many different learning styles and abilities. I have 2 children of my own (a 2nd grader and a pre-K student). I love teaching because I get to see the growth and the outcome of working hard and gaining knowledge. I also love when I see the ah-ha moment when it clicks for students. Some things are going to be hard, but I love being my students' cheerleader and being there to help them when they need it!

When I am thinking about my lessons, I think about the different styles of learning that I have experienced. I use different approaches such as hands on, visual, auditory and multi-modal techniques. I want each student to feel comfortable and confident when working with me. I do well with being able to transition my instruction as needed to meet the needs of all learners. I am comfortable in many areas of teaching but focus more on ELA and math. I work with k-5 students but am open to helping middle school students as well.
