About Emily
In my career as a government policy advisor, I research and prepare various types of written work. This positions me well to support you with academic writing, writing for the public (such as news releases, communications), writing for work, and research.
I also freelance as a research consultant supporting education professionals with public speaking remarks, academic articles, and book writing.
As previously mentioned, I have a TESOL certificate from York University, and a Master's of Education from the University of Toronto. I have taught students from many backgrounds and levels of education.

My teaching philosophy centres on student learning objectives coupled with my observations of skills in need of further development.
I taught English as a Second Language to a variety of students varying in both age and experience including youth, young adults, and working professionals. My experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto further prepares me to guide you not in basic English writing skills but academic writing as well.
My lessons are intended to support professionals, undergraduate students, high school students and English learners.
