About Stephen
I take great joy in solving problems. From the simple to the complex, my field never fails to challenge which is why I chose to dedicate my life to it. No other field has had the same impact on how I think, act and perceive the universe. It is due to my curiosity that I chose to undertake an undergraduate degree in Physics and to pursue this into a Masters degree in Astrophysics. There is no better feeling of accomplishment than when I solve a problem and I wish to pass this enthusiasm to not only my current taught learners but those who feel they maybe need an additional hand in applying the finer points of A level study. I bring 7 years of teaching expertise in Physics, Chemistry and applied science. In my time working as a lecturer I have helped improve successful outcomes and continuously maintain them across a range of subjects, striving for excellence in everything I do which is evidenced by a number of my learners being accepted to Oxford, Cambridge and a range of high-profile universities and courses including Physics, Chemistry, computer science, radiology and medical sciences. I am capable of teaching both academic and vocational sciences and can help prepare you for exams or with coursework.

I approach tutoring from a digital perspective, having spearheaded the transition from classroom to digital for vocational sciences during the pandemic. My lessons are live, using WJEC resources and graphics tablets to provide an immersive online learning environment. Tasks are set from those I write for my current A level classes with continuous formative assessment and practice. I focus on past paper questions, both legacy and 2015 specification, to provide my learners with practical experience of how to approach, analyse and correctly answer exam questions. I also focus on teaching exam technique and links to practical simulations to understand concepts of uncertainty and the deeper application of problem-solving and critical thinking skills required of A level science learners.

Excellent! He was able to establish good rapport with the learner from the beginning
