About Layla
I am passionate about education, thinking it can change people's lives. With more than a decade of teaching experience, I have taught and trained students, helping them build up their skills, see their strengths, organize themselves, and strategize their time so that they can succeed and master the subjects and their university lives confidently. My teaching philosophy is synergistic with the students' needs and desires. As an adaptive, patient, and improvisational teacher, I emphasize how-to exercises, constructive feedback and encouragement, and practical application.

Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching approach is student-centered, adaptive, and practical. I focus on identifying each student's unique strengths and areas for growth. I use step-by-step guidance, interactive exercises, constructive feedback, and real-world applications to make learning engaging and effective.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material and setting clear objectives. I introduce new concepts using examples and visual aids, followed by guided practice and collaborative problem-solving. The session ends with independent exercises, feedback, and a discussion of strategies to reinforce learning.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I combine patience, adaptability, and a knack for breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. My experience spans over a decade, and I have helped students improve academically and build confidence, organization, and time-management skills tailored to their individual goals.
Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are for middle school, high school, and college students seeking support in history, writing, English, literature, and social sciences. I also assist with academic coaching, including standardized test prep and skill-building for students at any level or background.
