About Misha
I am a friendly, patient and reliable tutor with a strong academic background in mathematics, statistics and data analysis. I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and I am currently studying postgraduate Artificial Intelligence subjects at Deakin University in Melbourne.
I have experience providing one-to-one tutoring and understand that every student learns differently. I therefore adapt my explanations, pace and lesson structure to each student’s level and goals. My aim is not only to help students find the correct answer, but also to ensure that they understand the reasoning behind it and feel confident applying the same methods independently.
I know that mathematics can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I explain concepts clearly and step by step, using practical examples and targeted exercises.
I prepare my lessons carefully, communicate clearly and take each student’s progress seriously. Whether you need help improving your grades, preparing for an exam or strengthening your understanding of mathematics and statistics, I will provide structured and personalized support.

• My tutoring approach is patient, structured and adapted to each student’s individual needs. I first identify which topics the student finds difficult and whether the main challenge is understanding the theory, applying formulas or solving exam-style questions.
• During lessons, I explain mathematical concepts step by step using clear examples before allowing the student to practice independently. Rather than simply giving the answer, I ask guiding questions to help students develop their own problem-solving skills and become more confident in mathematics. I can also help with homework, exam preparation and reviewing topics taught in class.
• A typical lesson varies depending on the amount of theory to cover. Per session I try to include a short review of previous material, an explanation of the main topic, guided practice and independent exercises. Longer lessons can also be arranged when preparing for an exam or covering a larger topic.
• My lessons are suitable for primary-school students, secondary-school students, university students and adults who would like additional support with mathematics or statistics. Lessons can be adapted for beginners as well as more advanced students.
