About Rhumer
Hello, my name is Rhumer Diball and I working as a tutor while also finishing my Masters in Learning and Teaching at USQ.
I am in the final semester of my Masters to become a qualified secondary school teacher. My teaching disciplines (subject areas) are Drama, Film Tv and Media Studies and English. I am able to support students in their literacy abilities, essay and assignment task writing and creative tasks for any of the subject areas listed. I have worked as a Preservice teacher at: Cavendish Road State High School; Ferny Grove State High School; Genesis Christian College and Bremer State High School.
I am able to come to my students and have flexible availability. I have my own car and can meet at the student's home, a local library or coffee shop or arrange a location that works best for the student and/or parent/carer(s).I am also available for online tutoring, or over the phone or through email/skype for ongoing support and help and can also work as a mentor for the student outside of specific classroom learning if they wish.
I also work in Brisbane theatre as a Dramaturg and performance reviewer and have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Drama from the University of Queensland where I studied an extended major in Theatre and a minor in Film, TV and Media Studies.

I follow an Art of Science and Teaching pedagogical framework with explicit teaching methods where I take a task, topic or goal and "chunk" learning so that the student is able to achieve success. I work off student prior knowledge to tailor my tutoring to suit where the student is at with their knowledge and understanding so that there is always a focus on moving towards learning new areas and succeeding in progression.
