About Grace
I started tutoring when I was 15 in a Saturday morning class for young children and then moved online when I went to university. I was never confident enough to put my hand up if I had a question in school so have always loved that having a tutor can provide a space to ask all those questions. I achieved straight A*s at GCSE and 3 A*s at A-level. I went on to study International Relations at St Andrews where I achieved a First and am now halfway through my Masters in Middle Eastern Security Studies.

I spend a lot of time getting to know the students - working out where they want to go, where they're at now and why they think they're not improving. I've found the main issue is typically low confidence and so my lessons are about encouraging students. I use a variety of methods: trial and error/ seminar-style/ practice papers/ understanding the mark scheme etc. I have studied the most effective methods for knowledge retention including quizzes/ constant recall which have proved super helpful. My lessons are typically 45 minutes to an hour.
