About Harrison
Hi! I'm Harry, I'm currently studying for a master's degree in maths at Imperial College London and have a first in my bachelor's. My main area of focus is applied mathematics and probability, with my master's thesis being on game theory in financial markets.
I've been tutoring for over 5 years now and have plenty of success stories from my students. My method of tutoring allows students to build their knowledge further with a full understanding of the concepts underpinning what they are learning about.
I also try to give my students a peer to talk to about what they struggle with at school/in exams and why. Having gone through A-levels and undergraduate studies myself recently, I can understand better than teachers or professors what they are finding difficult and can provide a friendly face to help them get through it.

I think that the main thing missing from school education is a foundation of understanding of concepts - they try to teach you how to answer questions rather than build understanding of why that is how you answer questions. I try to focus on this in my lessons and build an understanding of difficult concepts so that my students can apply their knowledge well when encountering unfamiliar problems.
