About Alex
I'm an aspiring Further Education English teacher, currently studying an MA in English Language and Linguistics, and a Bachelor of Laws graduate. For the past year and a half, I had been working as a full-time Teaching Assistant in an independent school, specialising in 1-to-1 English and Maths support (though providing lessons in a wide variety of subjects) for pupils aged 10-16. Prior to this, I worked on supply as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools across the region, particularly supporting ESOL and SEND children. I am highly passionate about education and its role in facilitating growth, both academic and professional.

Lessons are personalised to reflect the individual needs of pupils. The first session involves getting to know the current level and the aims of the pupil, with further sessions tailored to accommodate. My teaching style is flexible, and will vary depending on what works best for each person. Lessons are available for ages 11+, where I have experience as a 1-to-1 teaching assistant. Comfortable teaching GCSE and A-Level curricula over 1-hour sessions (flexible depending on learner schedules and needs).
