I've been Collin's student for a year now, and I can't recommend him enough! He's incredibly knowledgeable and passionate not just about vocal technique but the science behind it, which brings a unique perspective to his lessons and really elevates his detail-oriented teaching style. He also encourages exploration of different stylistic approaches, and I've really felt my range of repertoire grow during my time with him. I came to Collin with about 14 months of prior vocal training and he's been excellent at meeting me where I am. He's particularly good at identifying the root cause of a symptom, and rather than simply correcting the symptom, he explains the mechanism behind it, which helps make the fixes stick. His approach is clearly grounded and informed by vocal science, which I appreciate. Lessons are a good mix of repertoire and technique, and he's clearly put thought into how he sequences the work.
