About Aimee

At the heart of my practice is the belief that movement is more than exercise, it is a way to reconnect with ourselves. Too often we lose touch with our natural instincts, moving through life with the mind and body out of sync. In my classes, I bring them back together. Every breath, every heartbeat, every stretch becomes a chance to release what is stored within and to discover new strength both mentally and physically. My promise is that each time you step onto the mat, you will leave feeling grounded, stronger, and deeply connected to your body. I grew up on a farm in South Africa, surrounded by nature. It was always my source of energy and the way I gave of myself to the world. When I moved to the UK at eighteen to study, I began to notice a shift. Life moved faster, people breathed differently, and I found my own health starting to decline. I developed PCOS, struggled with high cortisol, and faced challenges I had never known before. In searching for answers, I discovered functional health, and it became the foundation of my healing. What I learnt through that journey is simple but powerful: when we trust the body and the mind with the space and tools to heal, so much is possible. This is the heart of my Pilates philosophy, empowering both mind and body to restore balance, unlock healing, and reconnect with what it truly means to be human. I teach because I know first hand what it feels like to be disconnected from your body, and I also know the transformation that happens when you find that connection again. Pilates, for me, is not just about movement, it is about guiding others towards that same sense of healing, strength, and self trust.

Techniques & Methodology: I teach mat-based Pilates with a strong emphasis on functional health. My sessions combine classical Pilates principles with a more dynamic, fluid approach that adapts to each individual’s needs. Every class integrates breathwork, mindful movement, core stability, strength, and mobility training. I also draw on my background in women’s health, making my teaching particularly focused on balance, posture, and supporting long-term wellbeing. Lesson Structure: A typical class is 60 minutes and includes: - Breathwork to centre and prepare the body - Warm-up to gently activate muscles and mobilise joints - Core and functional Pilates sequences tailored to ability level - Cool-down and stretch to restore alignment and promote relaxation Qualifications & Experience: I am a qualified STOTT Mat Pilates instructor with additional experience in ballet, contemporary dance, and sports training. Beyond movement, I have also built a business in women’s health, focusing on lifestyle, hormone balance, and functional fitness, which strongly informs how I guide my clients. Who My Classes Are For: My lessons are suitable for anyone – from complete beginners to more experienced movers. I work with a wide range of ages and ability levels, always adapting exercises to meet individual goals. Many of my clients are women who want to feel stronger, more balanced, and more confident in their bodies, but my approach is inclusive and designed for all.
