About Nathan
I'm entering my 3rd year of a double major in Math and Computer Science at UVIC. I've tutored many times before, teaching both High School and University students in Math and Computer Science. I started off by helping my younger sister and her friends with Pre Calculus and went on to get tutoring work from fellow University students in Discrete Math, Calculus, and Computer Programming. I pride myself on being able to explain advanced concepts in simple ways, to quote one of the greats: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well."

To me the most important part of teaching is that the student understands the underlying concepts and principals of something, not just how to compute an answer.
Deeper understanding is crucial, not just to passing courses but to retaining the knowledge after the course is over and applying it practically.
