About Ryan
I’m currently in my fifth year of undergraduate study at PLU and have been working towards the goal of becoming a teacher the entire way. Because I enjoy teaching so much I’ve had multiple experiences tutoring: peer tutoring through my university, teaching through Sylvan, and assisting my friends with their academics. I have a passion for tutoring and I believe that shows.

I’m currently on my third year tutoring mathematics at PLU. Through this experience I’ve learned that good tutors not only teach their students their content, but also help their students with their studying methods and strategies. Throughout my tutoring sessions, I don’t only seek to teach the content, but to also teach students the required skills to learn content independently.

Excellent! Tuscany was pleased with the lesson, really appreciated the way Ryan took the time to work with her on what she doesn’t quite get, and draw out the visual representation of the problems
Excellent! Ryan definitely knew his math and it was helpful to have someone work through my practice problems with. He was friendly and encouraging and he was right...the ones I had to work hardest on were the ones I remembered the best for my test!
